When Life Blows, Blow It Back.

There's been a lot going on lately, and honestly - I haven't been able to find time to blog.
I don't know how it happens, because I feel like I sleep my days away. I don't though!

Today is Sunday, and I'm doing laundry...yet again. I'm on my first trip - 3 loads. Then, I have to go back to the dorm and get the rest. I'm not dirty, I swear. I just have a CRAP LOAD of clothes. Its ridiculous, but I wouldn't get rid of them for the world. I don't think I could ever downsize my closet any more than I have. I have SO many boxes of clothes at home that I brought, and then had to take back, and its killing me not to have them.

I've had a lot to think about lately. School: in most classes there are only 4 tests, and I'm on my 3rd tests right now in all my classes. Soon it will be time for finals, and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get through them all. I feel like I've been in college for like 2 years already, but I'm only a freshman. Next semester when I come back, I will still technically be a freshman. I really want to take some summer classes, but they'd have to be online or at the college in my hometown. I can't stay here over the summer. [This paragraph isn't even the HALF of what I've had to think about with school, I just don't have time to write it all down.]

Friends: I'm trying to figure out how this is going to pan out with my friends in the future. I know that most of the people I talk to now will have completely lost contact with me in about five years. I get tied down in friendships very quickly for some reason, and I think I'm learning that I call people my 'best friend' when in actuality, they're not - they're just someone I hang out with a lot. Sure, I do tell her a lot...but I'm not sure if that qualifies as a best friend? I just don't know anymore. I need to just see what happens. I'm not saying I don't want to be her friend anymore, but I need to realize that there are ways to make friends other than just telling them every detail of your life.

Body: I'm one of those people who really worry's about their body. I hate when people call me fat, and I REALLY hate when people say I'm NOT fat. Ugh. Just don't say anything about my body. When I'm skinny, you can call me skinny. That's all. I worry about my weight. I worry about what I look like in clothes. I worry about what I look like when I'm dancing. I worry about everything. Don't judge me, because that is what has made me this way in the first place. So yeh - all you douche bags in middle school and high school who decided to make those comments to me, its your fault. Anyways, That's mostly what I've been worrying about lately.

I'm officially going on a healthy diet though. So maybe since I'm putting it out there for everyone to see, I'll hold myself accountable for it. AND I'm working out. SHOCKER. I absolutely hate working out. Maybe that's why I'm like this...haha. Soo...I just wanted to post since I hadn't in a while.

Love!

The Laundry Monster

I have come to realize that doing laundry is probably the worst thing to do in college. Its not like when you live with your parents. You can't just stick it in the washer and come back 2 hours later to put it in the dryer. And you definitely cannot just leave it in the dryer for someone else to pull out and put on the couch or fold for you.

Our laundry room that I'm in!

Washers take 25 minutes. Dryers take 40 minutes. (if your clothes are even dry by then) And yes, I do usually have to sit in here until everything is done because I'm afraid someone will steal something from me!
The washers & dryers are very old, and not taken care of. People leave panties, socks, and boxers in the machines because they don't check well enough to see if they got everything.

You have to learn what days are good to wash laundry, and what days are bad. Not only do you have to find which days are good, but you have to figure out what time of they day on that day is good. I'm in the biggest laundry room we have on campus, and usually when I come in here, I get one or two washers for 4 or 5 loads. Then I'll get one or two dryers for those same 4 or 5 loads. People push you out of the way, people leave things in the machines, and they usually don't even work right.

This year, my school grew by over 3 thousand students. With that, they had to make an upperclassmen dorm a freshman dorm. But, they also needed to build a new psychology building. What did they do...tear down half the dorm to build the new psychology building, and leave the other half for me and the other 99 lucky freshmen. Guess what was in the part they tore down? Yes...that would be our laundry room. So now, we get to walk across campus to whatever dorm will let us in to wash our clothes.

So, remember all those times I complained about laundry? That's why.

I'm lucky today though, I'm really the only one who's been in here consistently. Most of the other people washing laundry live in this dorm, so they can go back up to their room while its going. I'm alone, and its mostly quiet. I was watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix (imagine that. ;)) but somehow, my sound stopped working...so here I am. :P

I'm almost done, and I am about to fold up my clothes, and hike back across campus. (its really not that big. haha) When I get back, I'll be putting my clothes away and going to bed. I have to be up at 8 tomorrow!!! Yes. 8 a.m. I don't ever get up that early.

I really don't know why I put this on here. But, I found it and liked it. So...yeh. :) [plus, its in my dorm & I'm washing that shirt...so its kinda related to the blog. haha]

Hope you're looking forward to college...and the wonderful laundry rooms. :)

Jones in the Fast Lane

So, I've missed a couple days...but this entry will make up for it muahahaha :)

I'm home...3 hours away from school. I'm at my mom's house for part of the break, and then I'll go to my grandma's for another part of the break. Today, I woke up at 4 pm. Ridiculous, I know! I had to make up for all the sleep I haven't been getting though...so I think it's okay.

Anyways, when I woke up today, I started texting my cousin (Morgan) and we decided to go shopping. Once we finally got ready and left, it was like 5:15 or 5:30. We went to the mall, saw someone I totally didn't expect to see, went to Olive Garden and Krispy Kreme (shame on us), and then came back home. We got home around 10:30...and I was definitely surprised to see my mom still awake...I found out she had someone coming over...bleh.

I knew I had to do laundry - I FINALLY DID IT - haha, and while I was out in the garage, I started cleaning...it was so messy out there. I found this game I have been wanting to play for SO LONG. It's called Jones in the Fast Lane. Its so old that its on floppy disks. (I just looked at the date on it...1989.) haha I don't care though. Its freakin awesome.

I would have shown my face, but I look like absolute crap right now. :)

Anyways, tomorrow I'm going to church with my mom, brother, cousin, and aunt and uncle. I haven't ever been with them...so I'm excited. Random things - I painted my nails dark purple, (Jordan's nail polish ;)) I got a green dress for St. Patty's Day, I got this patterned tank, (so cute. and I'm definitely going to have to take a picture and put it on here) and I ate donuts today. MULTIPLE. I definitely canNOT do Lent. haha. Jesus loves me anyway.

I'm going to attempt to play Civilization now since Jones in the Fast Lane won't work. :( Good Night :)

Spring Break

Today I took my history and psychology tests that I've been stressing over for 2 weeks now. I don't know how I did...but I guess I'll know after spring break! Anyways, my psychology class was at 3:30, and that was my last class of the week - so my spring break has officially begun.

I will be spending my entire break sleeping and learning my part for Holst's 'The Planets' & practicing my solo piece that I have to perform on March 23rd. (By the way, in that picture...I'm only singing G for eleven measure straight...[haha] & that's not the hard part...I just didn't take a picture of the hard part.)

Now, since there's no more class to worry about for a week, it's time to clean my dorm. I hate coming back to a messy dorm after a break from school. Even if I just leave for the weekend...
Laundry is a must...I guess. haha I need clean clothes at least for one week.

Just to throw out there...I'm going to New York at the end of May this year, and then at the beginning of June I'm going to Seattle. I'm a bitttttt nervous...I've never flown by myself before. (that'll only be for Seattle though, I'm flying to New York with my choir) Anyways, I think it's naptime for a while.

1. Naptime.
2. TBĪ£
3. Cleaning/Laundry
4. Pack
5. Sleep through tomorrow because I have no class. :)

Sick Days

I know I'm posting this the same day I just posted the other one..but the other one was about yesterday - and this is about today.

When you live at home and you have your parents around to help take care of you - it's a lot easier to do things or to get better faster. Well, I don't live with my parents anymore, and I haven't for a while. Actually, I haven't lived with my mom for almost a year now, but I haven't lived with my grandparents for like 7 months. So I guess I've basically lived on my own for 7 months.

Being sick while living on your own is not the easiest condition to be in. I can't afford medicine to help me get better, I can't afford to go to the doctor to even SEE what's wrong...it's just a mess. I know I'll be able to get better, and take care of myself, its just an odd feeling knowing you have to do it yourself.

Onto the good stuff in life...

I got tired of my fingernails being not painted last night, so I finally painted them. I saw a picture of Vanessa Hudgens' nails, and all of them were one color and her ring fingers were a different color, so I had to try it. All my nails are black except my ring fingers - they're red. My toenails are red with black and silver designs. :)

I have laundry to do now. booo. I just did it like 2 days ago. I think the reason doing laundry sucks so bad is because you have to pay for it. The washers and dryers are small - so you can't fit much in there...and they charge like $1 per washer and .50 per dryer. I guess its better than doing it in the laundry mat though.

I wish the dining hall served breakfast all day on Saturdays and Sundays, but if you go at this time - It's probably old and hard, haha.
