Pain is Pleasure

Trip to Atlanta with Chamber. check
Band Banquet with TBS & KKPSI. check
Vagina Monologues for Jordan. check
Meeting Jordan's best friend. check

I've done so much. We left on Thursday at 6:45 am & got to Atlanta at 10:00 am. (I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be a 4 to 4 1/2 hour drive...and we got there in 3 hours, ON A BUS. It should have been almost 4 1/2 to 5 hours since we were on a bus. Oh well. We got there, sang at 2 high schools and a church on Thursday. Friday, we went to 3 more high schools. The last 2 schools had to think the sopranos were bad because I felt like we were screeching. I don't know. Maybe it was just me. I'm pretty sure we were all half dead though. It was fun...so I should complain, it was just very tiring!

When I got back on Friday at 6, I had to get dressed, do my hair & makeup, and book it over the the banquet to finish setting up with everyone. I bought all the decorations, but since I wasn't there to help, everyone else just tried to put everything up the way I had described. They did a great job & it looked AMAZING! I only changed a few things because I'm a tiny bit OCD. :)

Ashley Chisholm wanted to be in the picture. :)

Skittles, Omar, Rae Rae, Eric, Domo, Landan, & Rodney. (Bruhs & Sorors)

This was our very first band banquet at VSU, but we made the most of it, and everyone I've talked to had a BLAST! :) The lighting was awesome, the DJs were GREAT, (One of my sorors, AJ had her boyfriend and his dad DJ for us) the food was amazing, and the caterers was the nicest people EVER. We had a slideshow of pictures from the season playing during the banquet, and we presented our amazing presidents of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma with gifts.

Today, I went and saw the Vagina Monologues with Tori, Amelia, & Carolyn. [1-4 yay!...it wasn't really planned like that though. haha] Anyways, we went & saw the show, and Jordan was in it. It was the first time I'd ever seen her act, and she was of course...AMAZING. :) I met Jordan's best friend from home, Katie Beth, she was sweet. haha. Kaleb's watching a basketball game and talking about cracking his knuckles. Also, we are so tired...and can't stop yawning, haha. (A guy just purposely flopped a guy on the game...LOL <---- f'real.)

Look, its like free face blurring. The lighting sucked for taking pictures. Haha

Nighty Night.

P.S. I'm over 200 pageviews now. I've been waiting! haha :)

Stress in a Coffee Cup

I have three tests this week. I have been staring at my computer screen for 2 hours now typing up flashcards for only two of them!

I haven't had coffee in over a month, and within 2 hours, I've already consumed two tall white chocolate mochas from Starbucks.  When they say college is hard - THEY MEAN IT. :)

So, if you're not in college...take their word. If you are, you can relate. :P

Tips for studying:
1. WEAR PAJAMAS. No one cares what you look like. I'm glad I changed before I got to the library...which brings me to numero dos:
2. ALWAYS STUDY IN THE LIBRARY. If you use your computer to study, it will distract you enough. You don't need to be in your room sitting on your bed where you're likely to fall asleep, watch tv, talk on the phone, read a magazine, or whatever else.
3. STUDY WITH A FRIEND. Of course make it a friend you know you'll actually study with, but make sure that you have someone with you that will make you study. Ask them if you can have a mutual agreement: "Ask me if I'm studying every ___ minutes, and I'll ask you the same thing every other ____ minutes." IT WORKS. :)
4. I don't know what else. But make sure you study. It helps. hahaha. I need sleep. :P

5. EAT PIZZA AT MIDNIGHT.

Birthday Party

Two days from now is one of my sorors' birthday! She is turning 19, but since it is during the week...another one of our ls' decided to throw a surprise birthday party for her this weekend...so we did. I just want you to know...that is one HARD thing to do when you don't have a car...and you both live in a dorm! We originally planned on having a pool party for her, so yet ANOTHER one of our ls' [ls means line sister by the way...they are the girls I crossed with into the sorority :)] said we could have the party at her apartment, and swim in the pool at her apartment complex.

RAIN RUINS EVERYTHING...or so we thought. We got up at 10:30 am yesterday (a no-no in college. haha, you sleep when you can) and we realized the forecast said it was going to rain, so we had to change the plans to go swimming at the student rec center at our school. So now we've got a place to swim, what about a place to eat and actually have the party? We called as many people as we could, and we FINALLY found a place! (Thanks Jasmine)

So while we're doing all this and trying to find places, text people & tell them place and time has been changed, and whatever else we had to do...we were shopping for food, decorations, and everything else. I'm just saying - Sam's, Walmart, AND the Dollar Tree were not giving us any space to walk around. People love going out on Saturdays I guess! Once we finally got back, (1:30) we had to go get her & bring her over thinking she was just going to have a big/little day with her big Jasmine!

The party went well; the pool didn't go well. The rec center had a swim class going from 4-6 pm. (we got there at 4:00) so we decided to just go to an outside pool. (it ended up NOT raining) The water was of course absolutely freezing, so we sat in my big's apartment for like 3 1/2 hours just talking. I do love my bruhs and sorors, so its okay...the day was a LOT of fun whether things turned out perfectly or not. The birthday girl was happy too!! :)

Haha, sorry I had to block everything out - I didn't want anyone to creep on us. That was my status though, and she had a great time! :)
