Summer '11

So, its been like a bajillion days since I've posted, but I wanted to get back to it. Today's been pretty long. I got up at 9:40 for Wednesday recitals. There were a ton, so it lasted an hour, and then I came back to my dorm and slept until 12:50 (10 minutes before my class started). After that class, I hung out with a friend and then got THE text.

Its almost summer, and here in Valdosta, its 'almost been summer' for like, a month now. Everyone has already started laying out to tan, and playing sports on the front lawn. Today was the start of my summer. :) My sisters Amelia and Tori invited me to go swimming with them at Rabbit's pool (He's a bruh). Soooo, we stayed for like 2 1/2 hours. It made my week because it was so warm, and the pool was so cold. gahhh!

Anyways, this is the last week of classes. Next week is finals week, so there is no class, we just show up at whatever time our final is and take it and leave. I'm moving most of my stuff out of the dorm this weekend. Its going into a storage unit - Thank Goodness. I was so not looking forward to taking all this crap back home. 

Well, I think I'm done for now. I'm gonna go watch Grey's Anatomy. Imagine that. :)

Give It To 'Em

I'm pretty sure I have three tests next week again. When I got my syllabus, none of my classes had tests during the same week, so I don't know how this has ended up like this. I'm sitting in Dance right now, and I took the notes like last week, so I'm really bored. If you have perfect attendance, you get 25 bonus points at the end of the semester, so I haven't missed a day yet. If you leave early, you get an absence. So you guys get to hear about how bored I am. ;)

I went to the dance concert last night here at the school, it was pretty good, but now I have to take a ridiculous quiz on it online for class. "List the full names of the choreographers and the titles of their choreography for this concert." Now please tell me that that's a normal question. I think its dumb. I went to the concert...ask me about the concert - not the choreographers. 


***10 hours later - hahaha. I didn't realize it was so close to class ending...and so I had to close my computer. Anyways, I went to Starbucks with Jordan after that. :) And then...I studied a tiny bit for my test tomorrow (Tonight is an all-nighter for that test.), and then I went to my meeting. Stroll practice is probably my favorite part of the week (that was after my meeting). I'm not very good, and it is taking me a while to catch on...but I love it. I'm very out of shape though...so I have to take breaks. HA.


I am FINALLY up to date on Grey's Anatomy. :) I get to watch it on TV when it comes on now. haha 


I'm going to start studying for psych now I guess...

The Planets

I feel like I haven't written in days, but its really only been 2 days. Yesterday was a visitation day for high schoolers, and they closed our dining hall off so only they could eat there. We were forced to go to the other one, and it doesn't have as much variety. Also, as Tori says, we feel like zoo animals because the high schoolers, their parents, and their brothers and sisters come and walk around campus and look at everything and look at us. Its just so weird.

I had rehearsal on Friday at 7 pm. Then we had it again on Saturday at 10:30. We had a concert last night at 8, and now we have another one, and I have to be there in 20 minutes. I really don't wanna go! All we do is stand backstage and sing some 'ahs'. I'll be okay though.

**EDIT: I woke up at 3, went to my concert, and then went to hang out with my bruhs & sorors. :) After that I came back to campus and watched a lot of Grey's Anatomy. [I'm up to season 7 now!] Now its time to watch ANTM, and then go to bed!

Tomorrow,  I have studio at 10 am, so I have to go to bed at a reasonable time tonight. I know I probably won't though. Anyways, I'm offa hereeee. G'night.

The Day Has Come

Recital was today. 22 minutes ago, actually. I did good, but just good, not great.

Now, I'm going to sit in my room & watch Grey's Anatomy until my 1:00 class. I love today Mondays & Wednesdays...they're the classes I like - Choir & Dance.
As you know, I did laundry yesterday. Usually, after I finish late at night, I'll leave it in my laundry bag and put it away during the next few days as I feel like it. Last night though, I managed to wash and put away FOUR loads of laundry. crazyyy. I have clean clothes now though. :)

I won a Rice Babies Baby Doll the other day from Ruffles and Stuff. :) Maybe I should go get a scratch off or something, because I don't EVER win anything. I'm feelin' lucky.

***14 hours later - I just got back from walmart with some of my sisters. We bought stuff for the sorority so we can decorate our bulletin board and make it pretty! :)

My voice lesson is cancelled tomorrow, so my first class isn't until 11:00. WOO! :)
I'm going to watch Grey's Anatomy & go to sleep :)))

P.S. I finally figured out how to change the time zone, so now it says the actual time that I post. :)

Pat on the Black

We finally made it back to Valdosta, & I'm happy to be back. My recital is in 4 days, and I'm still really nervous about that. I got a dress though! It's zebra print with a yellow belt. Love it :)

I'm at my happiest, snuggled up in bed wearing Kaleb's sweats, watching Grey's Anatomy, and about to go to sleep! We are getting up early for church tomorrow, and then after that, I get to FINALLY go back to my dorm. :) Maybe its weird that I enjoy living in such a small space with someone else..or maybe  its weird because there should be no way for me to enjoy 30 other people living on my hall, but I absolutely love living on my own. If this is the only way I can do that right now, I'll be happy with it. There's no one telling me when to eat, when not to eat, when to go to bed, if I can skip class, NONE OF IT.

Jordan and I are good friends. Great friends. We talk about everything, she probably knows way too much about me, and I probably know way too much about her, but isn't that how its supposed to be with a roommate? One of my other friends doesn't even talk to her roommate. She never had a huge problem with her...Its just that from day one, she was like "I don't want to be friends, I want to be roommates, and that's it". I just don't see that working out. I would never have been able to bring Kaleb over. Our room would have never been switched around. I would have less shoes & jewelry to wear. (yeh, she's definitely not my size in shirts & pants haha) I just don't understand how you can get through college with someone living in the same room as you...but never ever talking. When Jordan and I had our big fight...it lasted days. We said like 5 words to each other the whole time, and it was miserable. When one of us came into the room, the other left. My whole point is: DON'T hate your roommate. Be friends. If you have to do everything you can ever think of to be nice to them, do it. It will be worth it.

I know I wrote every single day over spring break, and maybe some of it was stupid, but I have to get my thoughts out somewhere. Anyways - Spring Break was overall a good week. I spent time with my family, and got to do some things I don't get to do at school. I'm not wanting to go back though, a week was plenty of time for me. A lot of things happened over my break, things I probably shouldn't talk about on a blog where anyone can see. I didn't 'grow up' over spring break by any means, but I have learned some things this past week. I've learned for one, that I will be a lot busier from now on. Not only will I have school, Kaleb, friends, choir, and the sorority, but I will also be catching up on some things I haven't been doing that I should have. (can't believe there's anything else to fit into my schedule, hunh? me either.)

Be that as it may, (I looked up the word 'anyway' in the thesaurus. haha) I am going to watch my show now, that I have been talking about for like 3 days now. Night <3

Tybee

I have missed going to the beach whenever I want. Last year, I was free to go whenever I felt like it. Now, I live 2 hours away from any beach. I've gotten so ready to come back to Savannah for spring break and go to Tybee. When I got there today - just like usual - I was ready to leave within an hour. Not only was it excessively windy, but it's still St. Patty's Day weekend in Savannah, and there were a ton of people...on the non-crowded end of the beach!

Tomorrow is basically the last day of my break, I don't know when we're leaving to go back, but I'll be back in V-town  by tomorrow night! Sunday, of course, is church, so I have to be back Saturday night so I can be there and sing on Sunday morning. Dorms don't open til Sunday at 10am. That's really dumb if you ask me. 

I was at Walmart today, and I heard this lady on the phone behind me complaining about how Savannah was taken over by drunk people. Seriously? She was decked out in green, traveled here from somewhere else, and you're going to complain about it? DON'T COME HERE THEN....just sayin'.

I've been practicing for my Wednesday recital. It's next week. I'm absolutely terrified. I'm sure I can't be the absolute worst, so I guess I'll get over it. :)

I'm going to go watch some more Grey's Anatomy! I'm halfway through season 4 now! I just can't wait to finish 5, 6, & 7. lol I wanna start on 8! Oh well. I'll get there eventually. :) Good night!

Season 4

Today's been long. I got up at 3:00 in the afternoon, so my day should have seemed a lot shorter, but I feel like I've done a lot. I got up and got ready to to Walmart with my grandparents. We didn't leave for an hour though. We finally go there, and spent an hour shopping for groceries. We came back, unloaded, and then Kaleb came and got me. So now, I'm here, at Kaleb's house again.

**2 hours later - I am now back at home. I know you care so much. :P Anyways though, I am about to go on Netflix & watch some Grey's Anatomy :) Hopefully, I'll be going to bed early tonight (as in 1...and not 5) so I can get up early to go to another appointment tomorrow!
