Home Sweet Home

So, I'm back home for the summer. Its been an interesting freshman year in college. I've changed a lot. You don't realized how many things are different and how much you change, because its happens gradually throughout the year. I've sat back and looked at everything I've accomplished this year. I'm able to take care of myself (well, except for money...but I'm trying. I'm only 19, so that part shouldn't count yet, right?), I'm able to take care of others, I've learned a lot more self-discipline. I'm ready for summer, and I'm happy to be back in Savannah where I can go to the beach when I want, and not feel bad for leaving after 2 hours because I only drive like 30 or 45 minutes to get there and not...2 or 3 hours. I'm happy to see my friends and family. MOSTLY, I can't wait to go to New York, Seattle, & Atlanta this summer. :) I have a lot planned!

Tybee

I have missed going to the beach whenever I want. Last year, I was free to go whenever I felt like it. Now, I live 2 hours away from any beach. I've gotten so ready to come back to Savannah for spring break and go to Tybee. When I got there today - just like usual - I was ready to leave within an hour. Not only was it excessively windy, but it's still St. Patty's Day weekend in Savannah, and there were a ton of people...on the non-crowded end of the beach!

Tomorrow is basically the last day of my break, I don't know when we're leaving to go back, but I'll be back in V-town  by tomorrow night! Sunday, of course, is church, so I have to be back Saturday night so I can be there and sing on Sunday morning. Dorms don't open til Sunday at 10am. That's really dumb if you ask me. 

I was at Walmart today, and I heard this lady on the phone behind me complaining about how Savannah was taken over by drunk people. Seriously? She was decked out in green, traveled here from somewhere else, and you're going to complain about it? DON'T COME HERE THEN....just sayin'.

I've been practicing for my Wednesday recital. It's next week. I'm absolutely terrified. I'm sure I can't be the absolute worst, so I guess I'll get over it. :)

I'm going to go watch some more Grey's Anatomy! I'm halfway through season 4 now! I just can't wait to finish 5, 6, & 7. lol I wanna start on 8! Oh well. I'll get there eventually. :) Good night!

Scrimp n Sausage

Today's been long. I had my appointment in Savannah at 2, but apparently my grandmother had one at 11 that I didn't know about. She tried to wake me up like 3 times before I finally got up...but then I fell back asleep. They ended up leaving me home and coming back for me for my appointment. It took us 30 minutes to park - imagine that...lol. We were done within an hour, and then we came back home to start cooking...drum roll...my low country boil. yum! It was my 'belated birthday party' with the family & Kaleb. :) It was SO GOOD.

That's about it. Short post today. :)
